About Me
I am a licensed independent social worker (LICSW), with training at Massachusetts General Hospital. I have a directive and behavioral orientation to therapy. Often, this means first understanding the traumas, conflicts, and systems that hold us back and lead to decreased wellbeing or an inability to maintain positive relationships. We work on self-acceptance and rewriting the narratives around these barriers. Then, we identify concrete skills that can lead to improved mood, relationships, and self worth. I am passionate about improving the mental health and self-determination skills of my clients and look forward to hearing from you!
My Approach
I take a comprehensive approach to seeing success with my clients. For many people, therapy is episodic. We arrive at therapy when we need to overcome a momentary setback, re-learn how to manage negative feelings, work through paralyzing indecision, manage grief, and clarify our goals, among other reasons. I believe in supporting clients in finding their own inner guide, coping skills, community resources, and social supports so that their path to feeling better is in their own hands. I am an energetic and results-oriented clinician.
If you are interested in scheduling a consultation, please email me at adagunninglicsw@gmail.com and let me know what you're interested in working on and what your scheduling needs are. I will respond at my earliest convenience.
I accept Aetna and MGB insurance for individual therapy. For all other insurance, I am happy to provide superbills so you can access your out of network benefits. My rates are $175 for individual therapy and $200 for couples therapy.
